TITLE:  Dinosaurs!

GRADE LEVEL/SUBJECT:  K©2, science

OVERVIEW:  Children are fascinated with dinosaurs.  They
want to learn everything about dinosaurs and will remember
the large names with ease at the amazement of their parents.

PURPOSE:  The purpose of this activity is to provide the
opportunity to practice developmental skills while learning
about dinosaurs.

OBJECTIVES:
  1.  Develop fine motor skills.
  2.  Develop visual skills.
  3.  Develop language skills.

RESOURCES/MATERIALS:  dinosaur stencils, paper, crayons,
pencils

ACTIVITIES AND PROCEDURES:
  1.  Students will trace dinosaur stencils on drawing
      paper.
  2.  Students will make dinosaur rubbings using stencils,
      crayons and paper.
  3.  Students will write the names of the dinosaurs they
      draw.
  4.  Students will name the dinosaurs they draw.

TYING IT ALL TOGETHER:  Students at this age should be given
many opportunities to practice developmental skills.  These
skills can be developed through activities based on a theme
they enjoy such as dinosaurs.
