David Sweargingen/Chris Lee, Glide High School, Glide, OR
FUN WITH PACIFIC NORTHWEST CITIES AND TOWNS
Appropriate for grades 9-12.
OVERVIEW: I find that this activity is a relief from regular
assignments.
PURPOSE: The major purpose is fun. It also aids the students
with map work.
OBJECTIVES: None, really. It is just a change of pace.
ACTIVITIES: Following is a list of the names I have made up for
cities and towns in Oregon. A list like this can be made for any
state.

RESOURCES/MATERIALS NEEDED: A creative mind.
TYING IT ALL TOGETHER: Some days nothing works in the classroom.
It could be because of the first warm day, an important athletic
contest, the day before a vacation, or, sometimes for no apparent
reason. I use activities such as this one to salvage something
out of these days.
