John Cazanas

"A Unified Multi-Skill High School Approach to the Teaching of Communication" emphasizes effective communication: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The objective is to compile and field test communication arts lesson plans which are crafted to teach and encourage critical and creative thinking. (1987)

Judy M. Christiansen

"Sharing the Vision" is a project designed to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics at the elementary school level. Activities include: teacher inservice; an original publication and a conference; parent and community volunteers; and professional development. (1992)

Lola R. Mapes

The "Family Stories: A Theme for Accommodating Interdisciplinary Learning" project will provide for a partial sabbatical to develop a model curriculum for the intermediate level which will integrate reading, writing, social studies, and fine arts based on using family stories as a learning tool in a pilot program. Workshops for teachers will be conducted. (1991)

Lee James VerMulm

"Project COBRA: Computer-assisted, Outcome- Based, Research-Accompanied Writing" will create a new writing program for high school students that is based on daily use of the computer as a word processor and technology to search and retrieve information. (1990)
