Excellence)" project focuses on the social skills necessary to
soar with social and academic success. It includes a Cooperative
Learning Teachers Guide and Student Handbook published for
immediate usage. (1993)

The "Project Space Chase (Children Having A Space Experience)"
was an integrated unit centering on multi-sensory activities.
Themes involved the history of space, weather and constellations,
clothing and hygiene, careers and technology, and communicating
and relationships. Also, I purchased a bus and it was converted
into a space shuttle and we made a space journey to the five
schools in the district. Eleven astronauts (4th graders) were
trained but each student had an important part of the blast off
day. John Glenn also visited our school. (1991)

The "Planting SEEDS for the Future" project seeks to improve
the teaching of elementary science by the development and
implementation of an activity-based science process and
thinking skills curriculum using the most effective materials
available. It is a community driven and teacher developed
initiative which will train over 1,300 teachers and impact
thousands of students. (1994)
