The "Arts Connection" will feature visual art activities
used in curriculum units to enhance learning. A
book will be compiled and published and then used as a
tool for staff development. Teacher workshops
throughout the State will be conducted. The units in
the book will incorporate art and writing activities.

The "Earthstorm" project emphasizes the development of
educational applications for the Mesonetwork, a
state-of-the-art environmental data collection and
distribution system covering the entire State.
Multicurricular-oriented science activities will be
developed, staff development films will be produced, and
training software will be created. This material will
be available to other states using the system. (1992)
