"Mathematics for the Twenty-First Century: A School
Based Model for Staff Development and Program Changes in
in Elementary Mathematics" will allow for a sabbatical
to conduct a staff development program. Techniques such
as demonstration teaching and modeling, informal "help"
sessions, and weekly workshops will teach the use of
manipulative materials as a teaching tool. (1991)
