The "Bringing Technology into the Earth Science and
Geography Via Weather" project will implement a high
tech weather station to provide students with the
opportunity to use inquiry methods in the study of
meteorology. Teacher inservice will be included. (1990)

The "Astronomy for Students and Educators" project provided
training to enhance astronomy education from kindergarten
through undergraduate level within the Kanawha County region.
Teachers were trained in hands-on astronomy through graduate
courses and specialized workshops. It was also used as a tool
to promote community interest and awareness in astronomy,
technology, and the school system. The Christa McAuliffe
Fellowship was used to purchase the necessary equipment for
this training such as a portable StarLab planetarium system,
several telescopes, a CCD camera and software, as well as other
materials. (1995)

The "MAC Lab for Technology and Career Education"
project will establish and equip a computer lab suitable
for classroom use and teacher/parent/student training
