Bethel Elementary is a public elementary school (grades K through 5) that runs from 9a.m. to 3:30p.m. daily. The total population is 575 students. Most classes have approximately 20 students and all basic subjects are taught in addition to art, music, P.E., library and computer. The students will compete using a grass field.

A description of your community: Please include such things as size and type of community (city, rural), population, and the most popular attractions or event in your community. Gloucester is a small rural community with a population of about 35,000. This year is Gloucester's 350 year anniversary. Gloucester is a waterside community bordered by the Rappahannock river and the York River and is located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Gloucester has a yearly celebration in April called the Daffodil festival.

A description of the sports done at your school. Bethel Elementary participates in Jump Rope for Heart. Children learn basic skills in most sports, however there are no competitive teams that compete against other schools.
