Description of your school:
Reporoa is a small country school, of 135 pupils, in the middle of the
North Island of New Zealand half way between Rotorua and Lake Taupo.
School is from 9:00am-3:00pm with 6 class rooms. The pupils are taught
by their home teacher in all areas of the curriculum. They will be
participating on grass.
Description of your community:
Reporoa is predominately a farming community with the majority of the
children living on dairy farms.
It is situated in the centre of a volcanic plateau so there are pockets
of steam coming up from the ground.
Description of sports done in your school:
All sports are taught in the school. Rugby is the major winter sport
for boys and the girls either choose netball or field hockey.
