Description of your school:
Mitchell Intermediate is a public school located in The Woodlands, Texas.
Students are grouped in Learning Communities and are with the same teachers for 5th and 6th grade.
Classes start at 8:45 and continue until 3:45. Children attend Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Wellness, Physical Education, Band or Art/Music everyday. We will compete on grass and cement.
Our school district is one of the largest in Texas. Mitchell Intermediate is the largest intermediate school in our district. Our school sits on a beautiful acrage that has many pine trees and oaks. A large portion of our students walk or bike to school.

Description of your community:
Our community has over five-hundred miles of hike and bike trails. Families enjoy walking to shopping centers, movies, ice-cream shops and many local parks. The Woodlands is located approximately 30 miles north of Houston, Texas and 70 miles north of Galveston, Texas and has approximately 80,000 residents. We also have three professional sports teams, Football / Texans, Baseball / Astros, and Hockey / Areos.
