Description of your school:
Kirby Middle School (formerly Kirby Junior High) is part of the Hazelwood School District. We are a public school located in North St. Louis County (approx. 1800 students). Students attend classes from 7:20 am to 2:10 pm. Classes average about 32 students per period. Students are taught all core subjects. We also offer electives such as Art, Wood Shop Choir, Band etc. Our students are in the 6th 7th and 8th grades. We will be competing on an all weather track

Description of your community:
Kirby Middle School is a public school located in North St. Louis County. A long time ago we were a rural area. Today we are part of a growing city. Since we are part of St. Louis County we are minutes away from all the Downtown attractions: The St. Louis Zoo, Science Center etc. The St. Louis Arch can be seen over the horizon (on a clear day).

Description of sports done in your school:
Students at Kirby Middle School are introduced to a wide range of sports. The list includes Football, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Track and Field, Baseball, Floor Hockey and more. We compete with other area schools on the 8th grade level in Football and Basketball. This year we added Soccer. Our Mascot is the Cougar.
