Public school. 1 of 27 elementary schools in Katy ISD.
School begins at 8:20 and ends at 3:40.
ll elementary schools include Kindergarten - 5th grade. Some schools have Pre-K too.
We have 22 students in most 1st grade classes.
here are 10 First grade classes on our campus. We have almost 1,200 students. Last year we were the largest elementary campus in the state of Texas.
Our 1st grade teachers, instruct on all core subjects - Reading, Writing, Spelling, Math, Social Studies & Science. Specialty teacher instruct on Library, Art, Music, and Physical Education.
we will compete on our playground. It is supposed to be covered with grass but is mostly dirt. Most of our practice will take place at recess.
Description of your community:
We live in Katy, Texas. It is a rapidly growing suburb on the west side of Houston. Most popular attractions in Katy, Texas are probably neighborhood parks. Many people visit Forbidden Gardens, a museum of Chinese history and The Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas. Every fall Katy, Texas has a Rice Harvest festival with a parade, carnival rides, music, food and crafts.
Description of sports done in your school:
We participate in sports during our PE class and at recess. In PE, we learn about many different kinds of activities that will help us be healthy. During recess we play basketball and soccer. We also have a "big toy" to climb on.
