Description of your school: Bucklands Beach Primary is a public school of 370 pupils. The children range in age from 5 years to 11 years. All subjects are taught by each teacher. We have a grass field.

Description of your community: Bucklands Beach is situated on a peninsular. From one gate we overlook Eastern Beach. From the other gate we look out at Bucklands Beach. We can walk to both beaches. The Bucklands Beach Yacht club is nearby. Many people in the area belong. The sail out into the Hauraki Gulf at weekends. This is where the Americas Cup Yacht Race will be held next year. Bucklands Beach is also the home of world windsurfing champions Barbara Kendall and Aaron McIntosh.

Description of sports done in your school: A wide range of sports are offered to the children. These include swimming, softball, cricket, athletics, crosscountry, netball, hockey, soccer and rugby. Minor sports include paddertennis and rounders.
