A description of your school: Please include such things as type of school: Northbrook is a public middle school (grades 6-8) in the Spring Branch districtl ocated in Houstion, Texas. We are a blocked school that attends classes from 8:30am -3:40pm. Our total enrollment here at Northbrook is @ 850 students with an average class size of 25. Northbrook is a technology school for our district, so our students are exposed every day to the use of technology in the classroom. The teleolympics team participated on both grass and a track while competing in their events.

A description of your community: The Spring Branch community is a suburb of Houston, a city of over 4 million people. Spring Branch is an area about 11 miles from downtown Houston. Houston is the home of the world champion Houston Rockets basketball team and the national league champions Astros baseball team. Our students are busy preparing for the state TAAS (Texas Assessment of Academic Skills) test and a major sporting event in our community which supports the arts in Spring Branch- a fun run "The Run For The Arts" on Saturday April 24.

A description of the sports done at your school. Northbrook competes in the UIL sports of volleyball, football, basketball and track at the 7-8th grade levels.
