Help! My acne drives me nuts. I was on Retin-A, but that is absolutely impossible for me to use during the winter, and it wasn't helping much anyway. I also use sulfacet-R once a day. I have blackheads, zits, and what is almost like smooth zits. Nothing has really helped. Are there any suggestions? I also use a moisturizer 2 times a day, but my skin still flakes constantly. Are these things I just have to grow out of?
Thank You!

The best answer I can give you is to see another dermatologist (or go back to the original one who gave you the Retin-A). Most people think that there should be one answer for acne that works for everyone, but it's just not true. Among the many tricks I use is chemical peeling with glycolic acids. This is sometimes very helpful for people with many blackheads. Be very careful about the moisturizers you use. Make sure they are oil free and say non-comedogenic. Also keep a list of all the soaps and other things you use on your face...Still, it sounds as if you need someone to see you. I wish I had a better specific answere.
