I have a fungus (rash?) that seems to grow in size when I am sweating during warm days. I have had it for years and it causes me no pain, itching or discomfort. It occurs in the grion area where my underwear touches the skin and also around the neck area near the top of my tee-shirt. One other location is where my elbow bends and sweating occurs. It seems to become less noticeable when I bathe frequently but it never seems to go away completely. Any suggestions?
Answer --------
I agree that it sounds like it is probably a fungus or yeast. This can be confirmed with a skin scraping in any dermatologist's office. There are a number of pretty effective treatments. Some are just topical and others are oral. Oral treatments have a little more risk, but this can be discussed with your physician. Over-the-counter treatments might be tried, with the most effective agent available there being clotrimazole (Lotrimin). Good luck. If it doesn't go away soon, see a doc because it's tough to know just seeing your skin on this blue screen.
