My daughter is 15 and has rough skin on her cheeks and chin. Sometimes it's reddish and a bit irritated. Is there any thing she can do. What about abrasion like an abrasive pad. Thank you

Answer ------

Be careful about scrubbers like buff-puffs since they may irritate the skin further. I suspect you've tried various over-the-counter remedies, but you don't say which. Moisturizers are the first approach, with hydorcortisones second. Caution must be used with hydrocortisones, however because of potential thinning of the skin, tolerance developing, and the potential to mask a fungal infection (ringworm). Pardon the delay in this answer. If it's still a problem, see a dermatologist. Hope this helps. Eliot
