Have you heard of nail fungus being treated by daily soaking in copper sulfate? I have heard anecdotal evidence of success. Could I try this as a home remedy or would I need to consult a physician?

Thanks,

Sorry, never heard of it. I don't know the concentration of copper sulfate you are going to use, but I suspect you could get irritated if the concentration is too high. There are some good oral medications for nail fungus (albeit expensive) and even some tested topical medications that sometimes work. More importantly, however, there are several diseases of the nail that you might think are fungus but are not (e.g. psoriasis, lichen planus, reaction to medications and sunlight). I'd get checked before I stuck my nails/hands in copper sulfate...
