im 14 years old and i have extremly oily skin and clogged up pores all aroung my t zone. i currently use clinique products and i would like to know if retin a will help. please tell me a little bit about what it is and what it does. does it make your skin peel???

Retin-A is a retinoid that functionally loosens the oil and eventually decreases the size of the sebaceous glands (oil producing glands). It is still the best long-term blackhead/whitehead treatment going (some new products in the pipeline from other companies). Skin peeling is occasionally a problem, but if your are properly instructed (ask your doctor, preferably a dermatologist), you should not have too much trouble.
