Are there treatments for B. hominis besides Flagyl?

REPLY:

Flagyl is the drug of choice as it is readily available, inexpensive, and can be given orally or by injection. When this drug is ineffective other antiprotozoal agents have been used including iodoquinol, paromomycin, and diloxanide furoate. The role of this organism in causing disease remains controversial however.
