After a week of raw food and juice diet , what should I eat coming off it.
REPLY:
I am unconvinced that there is a benefit to a week's worth of "raw food and juice". Certainly a diet high in roughage, generous in fruits and vegetables, is increasingly looking like something which may minimize the risks for cardiac or malignant disease. Taking something "good for your system" to the extreme of eating a diet exclusively made up of only these foods for any length of time is of unproven benefit.
Throughout time humans have felt a need to "purify" their systems with special diets, purges, fasts, and even large volume enemas; there is no justification for any of these maneuvers and some have indeed been proven to be harmful and pose a risk to the believer.
I realize that this is probably not the answer you expected or wanted.
Going off of your diet and resuming a balanced diet including an amount of fiber from fruits and vegetables taken on a *daily* basis seems reasonable from both a common sense and medical basis.
