I have been advised that my daughter needs a complete Otological work-up to determine the best course of treatment of refraction pockets and consequent hearing loss. She is scheduled for an audiogram and a tympanogram. What should I reasonably expect to have take place in a "complete" work-up? What kind of questions should I ask? Is this a situation where a second opinion is warranted?

Thanks so much for your help

Please refer to a previous post "retracted ear drums - hearing loss" posted Mar 5, 1996.
