I am searching for elementary information regarding the vocal cords for my daughter's science project. Can anyone help me with photos, drawings, and information that might be helpful

Answer --------

Excellent high quality photographs of actual vocal cords, both normal vocal cords and abnormal ones can be found on the internet at the following URL:
http://www.users.interport.net/~jsherry/airwaymap.html

Excellent movies of vocal cords showing normal vocal cord movements that occur during vocalization can be found at the following URL:
http://weber.u.washington.edu/~otoweb/cord_movie.html

To view either of these sites, a web browser with jpeg and mov viewing capabilities, such as Netscape, is necessary.
