I have fluid in my ears & swollen neck glan in early Ded which was treated with amoxicillin. But it didn't clear. So the Dr put me on Zithromax.
Still had pressure. Called in Biaxin for me after my phone call (didn't see me) Still had pressure & full ear feeling (airplane feeling). Went this time to Dr about a week ago. Said ears looked fine. Did x-rays.
Nothing. Gave me prescription for PPA/GG. (DOESN'T HELP) Sent me for CT scan last Tues (2/4). Nothing. But I'm still having the pressure between my eyes and under the bridge of my nose and my ears feel 'full'. Help!!!!!!
I'm tired of this feeling like I'm landing in an airplane with my ears and having pressure in my upper nose. It's been over 2 months. I've used nose spray, Vacenase, Flonase, Sudafed, saline spray, antihistamines as Dr suggested. Sudafed helps some, but it always comes back & I can't take it at night. Plus, I have MVP, so shouldn't take decongestants for long. I also get redness and swelling in my face frequently. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend that you consult with an Ears, Nose, and Throat specialist regarding this problem. Although I it is impossible for me to diagnose your problem with the information you have provided, I suspect that eustachian tube dysfunction is a very likely possibility. This can be confirmed by audiometric tests done in an ENT physician's office. Further treatment recommendations can then be made but I would note that the symptoms of eustachian tube dysfunction can persist for weeks to months after an otitis media with effusion (ear infection with fluid behind ear drum).
