Hi. I get frequent nosebleeds -- lately more frequent than ever. And the latest 'group' seems to be from the same spot in the nose which is apparently not healing, I've been getting similar nosebleeds for about 3 weeks now.
Anyway, I've always gotten nosebleeds since I was a young kid (I'm 40 now). A few years ago I went to an ear-nose-throat doctor asking about how to eliminate nosebleeds and he tried something on me that didn't work: He put some sort of artificial cloth/gauze thing in my nose for a full week -- it was some sort of artifical skin or something that he thought would toughen up my nose in some way. But as I said, it didn't work.
So anyway, what are the possible causes of frequent nosebleeds, and what are the treatments?
Thanks!
I have discussed the prevention and treatment of recurring nosebleeds in a previous response which may be accessed in the "review" section of the ENT clinic or directly at http://ofcn.org/cyber.serv/hwp/hwc/ent/news/ent095.html
