Dear Sir,
I have had ear problems for about 11/2 years. The symptoms are a full feeling in the ear like there is water or something in the ear. At worst the gland under the ear swells and I feel quite weak and a little unsteady. I've also been told I go PALE. I've had streroids(Becanase), 1 ENTwas unable to find anything. The other ENT said I had a fungal problem so he gave me Canestan drops , however this did not remove the symptoms. I've also taken sudafed without result.
I would appreciate any information or advice you could provide.
Thankyou,

There are several possible explanations for a sensation of fluid or fullness in the ears. The most common cause of this is related to eustachian tube dysfunction. You will find several discussions in the "review" section of the ENT clinic regarding eustachian tube dysfunction for information regarding this condition. Identification of the cause of such a symptom may require more sophisticated testing beyond an examination of the ears such as audiometric testing, measurement of middle ear pressures and ear drum compliance, and imaging of the middle and/or inner ear.
