Are you aware of any articles, treaties, or medical authorities that discuss the onset of hearing loss after a closed head injury. I am especially interested whether hearing loss can be gradual over months time until total.

Researching technical medical articles is beyond the scope of what is offered in this medium outside of referring to known sites on the internet which may have information on the topic you are interested in. Unfortunately I am not aware of any sites on the internet that specifically address acquired post-traumatic hearing loss. If there is a medical school near where you live, you could do a computer search through the Index Medicus.
