I have had a sore throat for the past 3 weeks now. I have been to the clinic twice and the Doctor hasn't found anything wrong with me. The throat culture came back negative. Now it is getting worst and I don't know what to do! Can you help me? Any suggestions will do.

It is possible that your sore throat is related to viral infection. Symptomatic measures such as gargling with a dilute baking soda-salt water solution can be beneficial as can be the use of over-the-counter preparations such as Cepastat lozenges or spray. Analgesics such as tylenol or, if they are tolerated, aspirin or ibuprofen can be helpful. However, if symptoms persist I would recommend that you see an ENT specialist for a more thorough throat examination.
