Hello there !
I have suffered from toothache for nearly 1 week now and I thought it was my wisdom teeth on my visit to the dentist he took xrays and my teeth were fine and said it could be my sinuses making these shooting pains through my teeth. Is this possible ? The dentist said the roots of my upper teeth are long and are in this area.
I have had a bad cold but it has cleared up now so there is no nasal congestion.
Please help me with this question as my face was aching so much I coudn't sllep

Thankyou !

Pain referred to the upper teeth is not an uncommon symptom of acute sinusitis. This type of pain however occurs more commonly in the form of a persistent aching pain rather than an intermittent shooting pain. The presence of nasal symptoms such as drainage and/or stuffiness combined with a lack of dental disease would suggest dental pain in the upper teeth is quite possibly a manifestation of sinus infection.
