Dear Sir,
As far as I know, I have never had a sense of smell. My mother tells me that her father also did not have a sense of smell, although he died long before I was born so I don't really know if that is true.
Is this correctable? If so, would it be very expensive? I wonder sometimes if I all of a sudden got a sense of smell if I would be overcome with a sort of overload and think everything smelled bad anyway.
Thank you for any possible info you may give me on this.

I have previously discussed the potential causes and possible medical interventions available for loss of sense of smell. Please refer to the "review" section of the ENT clinic under "loss of smell" - specifically http://ofcn.org/cyber.serv/hwp/hwc/ent/news/ent123.html
