I have a foul odor that I smell off and on all day. I smell normal odors fine also. I have been examined by ENT and he recomends Partial Turbinectomy and I have deciced not to go that route. My wife has checked for oder in my ears nose and mouth and she does not smell what I do. I feel like it may be comming from sinuses and I am on Cephalexin 250 mg. and a steroid nose spray. I was wanting to know if you might have other suggestions as to possible cause of oder. Thank you.

Ps I am a 52 yr white male 5'10 225lbs

Sinusitis is certainly a potential cause of this type of smell disturbance. Disorders of the olfactory nerve, including neoplasms can also cause a disturbance in the sense of smell. If the symptom is chronic and not clearly related to recent upper respiratory illness then one should consider a CT scan for further evaluation.
