Hello.

Thank you for the previous responses. I will go back to my ENT.

Before I do so, can you tell me whether physicians can take an MRI of the following parts?

I. middle ear

II. inner ear

An MRI scan would not be limited to such small areas of anatomy but would encompass the entire anatomic region - ie the entire head including all of the structures of the ear. Parts of the ear however will not be well-visualized on an MRI scan - for example the small ear bones of the middle ear. These are best seen with high-resolution CT scans.
