I have had headaches nearly everyday for the last two years. Sometimes worse than others. When they get really bad, I seem to be photo-sensitive. It helps a little to cup my hands over my eyes for a while. I have taken just about everything from tylenol to orudis and they only help to take a bit of the "edge" of of my headaches. I went on numorous trips to the doctor and was treated for sinuses and/or allergies. Nothing has helped. Then they took three views (x-ray) of my sinuses. They said that they found some retention cysts. I am not able to go to an ENT as reccommended. What con you tell me about this?
Is there something else I can be doing to ease the pain?

Retention cysts noted on standard 3-view sinus x-rays are seen in an estimated 15% of the population and are not by themselves an indication of an active disease process. The odds that they would have any relationship to the headaches you have described would be small - a better assessment would be with a CT scan which is far superior to standard 3-view x-rays and can now be done at similar cost.
