Aloha from Hawaii. I have been having severe ear pressure for over 2 weeks.
My local physician had me on antibiotics, decongestants, and steroids but I received no relief. I am a 36 year old female. I have never had this problem before. Can you give me any advice? Thank you.

It is possible that you might be experiencing eustachian tube dysfunction. Eustachian tube dysfunction can occasionally be alleviated with the short term use of long-acting oxymetazoline nasal spray (Afrin) used twice daily for no more than 3 days combined with frequent attempts to "pop" the ears (autoinflation). However, if your symptoms have failed to improve with prescription medications that you have described, then I would recommend that you consult with an otolaryngologist for further evaluation.
