Hallo ,
i have a deviated septum which results to many problems.I wanted to do a surgery operation but doctors said that because i am still 17 years old i should wait until i get twenty. Is that True?
Should i do the operation?
Thank you,

If symptoms warrant consideration of nasal septal surgery, there should be no additional risk for a 17 year old versus an older individual. Many otolaryngologists do recommend that septal surgery be deferred in young patients until they reach the age of 16 or 17 unless symptoms are severe for fear that such surgery might affect the growth centers of the nose.
