I have been diagnosed with severe sinusitus. But there is one pain I have that my Doctor has not been able to diagnose. I often get pains on the top left side of my head. It kind of feels like I hit the corner of my head on the edge of a table. COuld this be caused by severe sinus pressure. I am scheduled for sinus surgery in a week. Thanks for your help

It is possible to experience discomfort or even pain from sinusitis in a location of the head that is somewhat distant from the involved sinus. This is known as referred pain and is explained by the complexity of neural pathways that innervate the structures of the skull.
