Subject: Harm From Not Wearing Glasses
I am nearsighted but I don't wear glasses. Could my condition get worse or am I harming my eyes by not using corrective lenses?

In general, there is a tendancy for nearsightedness to progress with time. This is due to changes within the eye and does not appear to be related to wearing glasses.
Not wearing glasses does no harm to the eyes. Wearing glasses will not make you more dependent upon them. If you choose not to wear your glasses, you simply don't see as well as you could.
