im 53 yo white male, with depression and diabetes, am single my wife died 3 years ago. although i have been sufferingwith this problem for years i've known it was coming. and my wife knew it was i couldnt maintain an erection. and i still cant although i want to. i dfont think it is the diabetes becausae this was coming on before i came down with diabetes or had the heart attack......
i feel the depression is caused by and attributes to this inability.

information please, anyhelp?

I agree that depression may be the main reason for the inability to maintain an erection. I would hope that you feel comfortable talking to a professional counselor and your physicians about your feelings, especially (perhaps) your wife's death. Please seek help immediately if you think about hurting yourself.

You also have significant physical problems that could explain the inability to maintain an erection. I encourage you to ask for a referral to a urologist for a detailed explaination of the many medications and devices available to assist erections. Unfortunately, none is perfect and without side effects.
